This is the 7th of 9 murals painted in the community from 1998 to 2007. It is located on the corner of East Main Street and South 10th Street. This mural was Completed in 2003 by Muralist Eloy Torrez.
This mural vividly celebrates the vibrant culture of Santa Paula’s Latino community. It honors their deep commitment to family, religion, education, and country. Through its imagery, the mural traces their journey from field laborers to skilled tradespeople, business owners, and professionals, highlighting their achievements through hard work, perseverance, and determination.
It also captures their love of music and cultural pride, represented by the musician and Zoot Suiter. Prominent landmarks depicted include Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, circa 1929, the Santa Paula High School bell tower, 1939, and the Main Street clock tower, 1905.
This artwork stands as a testament to the enduring spirit and rich heritage of the Latino community in Santa Paula.
